EyeFix Privacy Policy
EyeFix is a Chrome extension that provides real-time, on-device eye-contact correction for a user's camera video during supported Google Meet calls. This Privacy Policy explains how EyeFix handles information.
1. Information EyeFix Processes
When EyeFix is enabled by the user on Google Meet, it processes the user's camera video in real time on the user's device to detect facial and eye landmarks and apply a bounded gaze-correction effect.
EyeFix does not collect, record, upload, transmit, retain, or sell camera frames, audio, facial images, eye images, facial landmarks, or video-call content.
2. Local Settings Storage
EyeFix stores the following settings locally in Chrome extension storage:
- Whether EyeFix is enabled.
- The user-selected correction-strength setting.
- Whether Developer Mode is enabled.
- Local operational settings needed to run the extension.
EyeFix does not store camera frames, audio, meeting chat, participant information, account credentials, browsing history, or screen-sharing content.
3. How Information Is Used
Camera video is processed solely to provide EyeFix's real-time eye-contact correction feature. Locally stored preferences are used solely to remember the user's selected extension settings.
4. Google Meet Access
EyeFix runs only on supported Google Meet pages at
https://meet.google.com/*. This access is used only to support
the user's own camera video when EyeFix is enabled.
EyeFix does not access, collect, or use Google Meet chat messages, participant lists, meeting text, microphone audio, screen shares, or browsing activity for any purpose unrelated to its single purpose.
5. Data Sharing and Sale
EyeFix does not sell, rent, transfer, disclose, or share user data with third parties. EyeFix does not use user data for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness, lending, or any purpose unrelated to real-time eye-contact correction.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Camera video and facial/eye landmark data are processed transiently in memory and are not retained after processing. Local extension preferences remain on the user's device until the user clears extension data or removes the EyeFix extension.
Users can delete locally stored EyeFix preferences by removing the extension in Chrome or by clearing the extension's local data through Chrome's extension settings.
7. Security
EyeFix is designed to process camera video locally on the user's device. EyeFix does not use remote code, remote AI model files, or remote video processing services.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when EyeFix changes. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
